LET'S GO FOR THREE IN A ROW!
 Through March 3, the public is encouraged to help St. Petersburg capture the number one Top 25 Arts Destination title for a third year in a row by casting a vote in the annual AmericanStyle magazine ( www.americanstyle.com) readers' poll. Results will be announced in May.
St. Petersburg's arts initiative has transformed the 600 block of Central Ave.; introduced more than 100,000 guests to The Chihuly Collection, and celebrated the Dali Museum's one year birthday and a more‑than‑double attendance figure of 370,000 visitors.

JURY SELECTS "THE LENS" AS TOP PIER DESIGN
 St. Petersburg's Pier Jury unanimously selected Michael Maltzan's design, "The Lens" as the top ranked design of the three finalists. “The Wave”, Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) ranked second. This caps off an International Design Competition that attracted some of the best architectural design teams in the world. The finalists presented their design concepts to the jury in a public meeting last December. City Council will discuss the ranking at a workshop on January 26 and again at the City Council meeting on February 2 where a final decision may be made. www.stpete.org/PierDesign .
