Takmatsu Student Ambassadors Yuki Takao, Rentaro Oyabu, and Tomoko Onosaka are returning home after a two-week visit to St. Petersburg, Takamatsu's Sister City. The teens took in a Rays game, got dirty at Mud Wars and toured museums, including St. Petersburg's newest jewel, The Chihuly Collection. The official sample ballot for the August 24 Primary Elections should arrive to Pinellas County mailboxes next week. Up for election this primary include Congressional, Legislative and other local district races, including state governor. In addition to sample ballots, the mailing will include a complete list of precincts and polling places in Pinellas County. Visit
The historic Jordan School, renovated by the city last year, was recently recognized with two big awards. The building has received Silver LEED Certification by the United States Green Building Council, Inc. and the Tampa Bay AIA Chapter awarded the project its Merit Award for Architecture, Historic Renovation Category.
